Project Summary
AroundU focuses on improving the overall college experience for students through various modalities to improve the quality and efficiency of college life. We want to create a complete ecosystem that college students can utilize in order to enhance their college experience. College, for many, is the first time one needs to actively try to meet new people. On top of that, living in an increasingly digital age, not many students are used to stepping out of their comfort zones in groups. Colleges all over the country have been attempting to accommodate these more and more digital generations. They’re attempting to use pre existing platforms to meet their needs, but it’s not working. Boston University students, for example, aren’t utilizing the college Facebook page to find events, aren’t making the connections they desire through orientation/beginning of the year events, and the Boston University app currently doesn’t have any social applications. Due to this, many students have a social life with much to be desired.
